The Big Lake Valley Historical Exhibit will be held in the Gates Community Room at the Big Lake Fire Station, Saturday August 8, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday August 9, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This year the BLHS is participating in Washington State’s History Day (August 8) and we especially want to recognize those young men in our community who served our country and those that gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to defend democracy in celebration of our country’s 250 years. This exhibit includes WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. Other exhibits include the communities of Big Lake, Baker Heights, Big Rock (Tiloh), Walker Valley, Montborne, Ehrlich, Finn Settlement, and McMurray. This year’s theme is …Then and Now… .
